Beat: 209     Case: # 161360524     Crime: Robbery
Report Summary :  CITY STREET (PEDESTRIAN): Victim advised he was standing by his mailbox talking to his girlfriend. He advised that while they were talking a dark colored minivan sped past them. He advised that he didn't think much of it at the time because he assumed it was one of the neighbors. Approximately 10 minutes later the van returned and honked at them. Two male suspects then exited the vehicle with guns and demanded that the pair give them their money. The victims both gave up their wallets and cell phones. The suspects asked who was in the home and then advised the victim's not to call police that they would be back. Victim attempted to track his phone without success. General Investigations was notified of the incident.

Report Summary :  APARTMENT: Officer was dispatched to Piedmont Hospital in response to repeat offender of assault and battery. Officer was advised by the hospital staff that the victim had been assaulted by her boyfriend. During a dispute the suspect had slammed the victim to the ground of their apartment. Victim suffered a broken nose and visible bruising on her face and arms. Officer had previously responded to an incident in February involving the same victim and suspect. Suspect was previously arrested and charged with Simple Battery. The victim refused to provide any information related to the incident, herself, or the suspect. General Investigations and SVU were advised of the incident.

Report Summary :  PARKING LOT: Passenger windows shattered out and door lock punched to vehicles. Three vehicles broken into at the location. Laptop, Radio JVC, and brown bag stolen. Surveillance cameras were observed in the area of the location.

Report Summary :  APARTMENT: Victim advised that she hired Ace Movers to move her furniture from her apartment inside the city to her new residence in Smyrna. She advised that she received all of her furniture except for her electronics. She was advised that not all of her belongings would fit on one truck and that a second truck would be delivering the rest of her items at a later time. She advised that she has been unable to make contact with anyone at the moving company.

Report Summary :  APARTMENT: Victim advised that her wallet was taken from her purse while attending a bridal shower at the location. Surveillance cameras show a suspect, known to the victim, sit down beside the victim and remove her wallet. Suspect then places the wallet in her own bag and leaves shortly after.

Report Summary :  APARTMENT: Victim advised that when she returned to her apartment from the hospital that several of her jewelry items were missing. Gold ring with blue pearl, 2 karat diamond ring, gold antique ring, gold H pendant, two gold earrings, and a gold band were missing.

Report Summary :  PARKING LOT: Victim advised that he picked up the two suspects for a cab fare. He advised that he dropped off the first suspect who advised his friend would pick up the tab. When the driver dropped off the second individual and requested the due fare of $20.00 the suspect fled. Victim pursed him but he evaded him through the apartment gates. Security on scene advised the suspect's apartment number but when officer knocked on the door of the location there was no answer.

Report Summary :  RITZ CARLTON: Victim advised that she left her company computer in her hotel room. She advised that when she returned she found her MacBook Air missing with several of its accessories.

Report Summary :  PHIPP'S PLAZA (BALLY): Witness advised that a male suspect had shoplifted from the location. She advised that while she and another associate were distracted the suspect took a small shoulder bag from the store front and ran out of the location triggering the alarm. Surveillance cameras were onsite and managed to capture some of the incident.

Report Summary :  PHIPP'S PLAZA (GUCCI): Manager at the location advised that a purse hand been shoplifted. He advised that a female suspect concealed the purse inside her shoulder bag and exited the location without paying for it. The purse was valued at $2,100.00. Surveillance footage of the incident was captured.

Report Summary :  HOTEL: Victim advised that he checked in to the hotel and had his bags taken to his room. When the victim arrived upstairs each of the bags were accounted for. When the victim woke up the following morning one of the bags was taken from his room. The hotel monitoring system reported the door ajar from 0012-0301 hours. Fraudulent charges were reported to the victim's credit card at MARTA for $97.00.

Report Summary :  KROGER: Loss prevention advised of a larceny at the location. A male and female suspect would enter the location. The female would activate a gift card while buying groceries, then distract the attendant and slip the card into her pocket. She would then cancel the transaction and leave the location with the activated Kroger gift card. She would exit the location and meet the male who would then go back inside a purchase a MasterCard gift card with the Kroger card. Surveillance footage of the incident was captured.
